Judging the game based on one single review is rather ridiculous. One man does not represent the vast majority. Let's see how others websites and magazines rate Resistance 2.
And is that a bad thing? You understand there will be people who don't even care for Gears of War right? Obviously you can't ignore their existence otherwise your just being biased to your own cause. That being said, I won't be disappointed at all once I get Resistance 2. The additions and gameplay will be the deciding factor for me, not the opinion of one individual who may or may not like certain aspects that others like. That being said, why do you even care about Resistance 2 if you care ...
Or they could be judging the graphics based on certain contexts. Every type of game doesn't necessarily follow the same type of scoring formula, because it varies from genre to genre in terms of graphical capability or gameplay, such and such. For this, the reason I believe they scored the graphics high was due to the unique approach they took towards how to portray the game. For instance, like what SEGA has personally said, the game's graphics evoke oil paintings or grand works of art. As a ...
Idiot to buy a PS3? Tell that to the 15 million install base right now
Games on par with x, y, and z? That's all subjective...to some Halo isn't the next best thing to sliced bread. And for others, Heavenly Sword or MGS4 was on par with some of those games. Just because you think a specific game is great doesn't mean that others feel the same as well.
Inferior online? I feel that it is not inferior. It has satisfied and catered towards all of my needs. Could it be b...
Actually, it's not so much that we are afraid of RROD or w/e debacle the 360 might have nor is it the fact that we are trying not to support MSFT in any way possible. It is actually how people are saying the 360 version is godly and the best version to play on because it has x, y, and z. In reality this is not true, because the PC is capable of higher and smoother rendering, without the hiccups that can be found on consoles. Additionally, it has customization support which the consoles do not...
Actually, Huxley is still TBA, and TBA 2009. That's what IGN is saying, not sure what other sites have as the release date. Plus, "if" it was coming out in November, we would have had a LOT of info about it. Considering that we don't, I highly doubt that the game will be coming out soon.
Incorrect, that's a subjective opinion not the way things are. Only in your dreams. I never knew Gordan Freeman was this dumb in reality, even with a physics PhD. ;)
Have you ever considered the third entity known as the PC, which basically outclasses both versions? Because obviously you didn't and you're pathetic attempt at grabbing at a few straws over the PS3 version doesn't change the fact that the experience you have with the game on each version is the same (minus the few hiccups). If you feel the need to try and validate your superiority over another, then you are truly pathetic and a person who enjoys videogames.
Regardless, great sc...
Dull and Gray-->We do not have a clue if its dull and gray throughout the whole game. We have only been shown the first two or so levels of the game and not the rest. It could very well be gray through the whole thing, but this seems to be a similar situation to MGS4. In MGS4, we were only shown the first two levels which only featured the middle east incidences. People thought the game was going to be set in that area for the duration of the game. But of course, that wasn't the case, and ...
nvm, Szarky provided the response.
Ouch, customer service at its best. I find that a lot of electronics/hardware companies seem to have this problem, where they either outsource their customer service or have really really crappy ones. I bet if they actually understand the technical issues involved and not some list of directions or solutions that they have on their computer screens, then the whole thing would have been resolved on the first go around. But yeah, I understand your frustration with Sony about this situation. I t...
Dang, I seriously wonder what things really detracted them from enjoying the game as much as possible. I expected the game to score a 9.0 (to the very least) from GameSpot.
A bad reason is that making money is too easy? I don't know about that, but I would rather not have it difficult to make money in these types of games, because it will eventually become tedious and annoying.
As for imbalances in good and evil path...that is debatable especially if you look at it from a psychol...
by all means, provide reasoning for why you think that. If you can't then your opinion is null and void for all it's worth (or lack of worth).
Good to know that they are trying to fix this asap. We can only hope that the present issues do not detract potential buyers for the game.
It's not so much the score that people hate about it. It's the fact that the reasons they used to justify the score was mostly incorrect or completely fabricated. Thus, it makes it seem like the reviewer either did not spend enough time with the game or didn't even play the game at all. Maybe if you played it, you would see how his statements don't match up with what really goes on in the game.
Additionally, please elaborate on the mediocrity that you speak of. Because in my eyes...
well considering that the game has already sold more than your prediction in Japan, I find that statistically impossible. In terms of overall sales, it will still remain to be seen whether this game because more of a cult following with highly regarded ratings or a mass seller (I'm hoping for the latter of course).
oh i'm not crying. I'm laughing hysterically at the jealousy that just oozes from your repeated statements in each and every LBP article. lol.
superior game? Go refer to the IGN videoreview and tell me what it says about "superiority". Hint: it has something to do with textures (surprisingly).
Additionally, can the 360 enjoy LBP? MGS4? Killzone 2? I think not. Each has its pros and cons, so stop bickering about it and play your games instead of acting like a baby here.
Isn't it a good thing to be more casual? That way the game will be able to cater more towards a larger crowd. The Wii comes to mind. So again, isn't this a good thing?
I got ripped off buying a PS3? It's strange because I think all of the features and benefits of the PS3 validated the price that I paid. In fact, based on the price right now and the additions they have made in terms of software and PSN, I would consider the PS3 I bought has actually appreciated in value. Just because you out of millions of others don't see that doesn't mean its fact.
In regards to LBP, its 3D, xyz plane, length, width, and depth, so get it right. Its 3D on a 2D plane (...
Well considering that the second one is getting much more publicity compared to the first one, doesn't that mean that you should pick this game up as well? Additionally, why are you bothered by that the fact that Sony fans are hyping it? They (and I included) believe the additions and upgrades to the game has proven phenomenal especially after trying out the Beta. So I ask, why not. Also, are you simply basing everything you see and hear about the game on this sole review? Like I mentioned in...
